The exhibition at the SANAA Building on the Folkwang Campus at the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site is open to the public free of charge and offers visitors a wide-ranging panorama of artistic and design-oriented works. On display are photographs, videos, drawings, objects, installations, graphics, renderings, and simulations that reflect social issues while also highlighting individual artistic positions.
The Folkwang Finale brings together artistic, design, and scientific perspectives on a broad variety of topics. These range from personal explorations of identity and home to analyses of police photography on social media, as well as questions of urban mobility or the perception of the city pigeon. The opening of Folkwang Finale 2025 will take place on Thursday, September 25, at 7 pm at the SANAA Building (Gelsenkirchener Str. 209) on the Folkwang Campus Zollverein in Essen. The exhibition will then be open daily from Friday, September 26, to Sunday, October 5, from 12 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free.
