The Electromechanical Workshop (EMW) is a shared facility used by students from the Communication Design and Industrial Design programs. It offers opportunities to prototype projects that incorporate electronic and mechanical components. A variety of equipment and tools are also available for loan.
Equipment & Capabilities
• Electronics workstations (oscilloscope, various measuring devices, soldering stations, etc.)
• Metalworking tools
• Metalworking machines (lathe, drill press, etc.)
• Electronics component inventory (sensors, motors, cables, transistors, etc.)
• Sound equipment (mixing console, cables, speakers, synthesizers, etc.)
• Arduino microcontrollers
• LittleBits modular electronics kits
To support project implementation, students can access all Campus Nord workshops. Laser cutting equipment at Campus Nord is managed by Reinhold Heming and Markus Weiss (Industrial Design).
