3D-Animation & Expanded Realities
3D Animation
In the introductory courses, the focus is first on lowering barriers, getting familiar with the software (Blender), and producing initial results. Through shared exercises and design projects, we work through the entire workflow—from the initial idea to modeling and texturing, all the way to the final rendering. We create our first animations and learn the fundamentals of working with materials and light. Building on this foundation, we deepen our practice, develop 3D characters, and expand our knowledge through changing focal areas such as visual storytelling, rigging, and animation. Through open exchange and a collaborative atmosphere, students are encouraged to develop individual ideas and explore new visual worlds.
Expanded Realities Lab
This area focuses on expanding linear moving images—creating a space for new formats and experimentation at the intersection of animation, interaction, and technology. The emphasis lies on interactive and installation-based environments, web applications, games, XR, and experimental multisensory experiences. Through mini-projects and challenges, we collaboratively develop the foundations of artistic and design practice within a real-time engine (Unity), while engaging in an ongoing dialogue with constantly evolving technological conditions and possibilities. The interfaces remain open—everything can be connected.
